Flying Experience is a price comparison site that brings together information about the online retailers who sell balloon trips, trial flying lessons, helicopter sightseeing tours, microlight flights and other airborne days out.
Where to start
If this is the first time you've bought a flying experience, you'll soon discover that there are quite a few companies essentially repackaging the same product. In most cases, what you will receive is a voucher, often but not always valid for one year from date of purchase, entitling the bearer to a flight simulator session, an aerobatic flight in a Cessna, a flying lesson in a vintage biplane or a leisurely cruise over London in a balloon. The Flying Experience site lets you sift through them all according to their price so that your flying experience comes at the least possible expense.
Locations
There are a limited number of places in Britain where you can take the controls of a helicopter or spend a day learning to paraglide, so the Flying Experience site lets you browse around the options in your region. If you live in the Midlands then you're spoiled for choice; if you're in London you'll likely have to travel out to the home counties; and if you're in Wales you may find your choice quite limited.
